Don't cheap out on the goaltending position. Trying to fix the problem with budget-conscious solutions gets you bottom to middle of the pack goaltending - which is what we had last season and cost us dearly.

I just don't understand the desire here for a guy Darling. What are you hoping for in that position? For him to beat the odds and be a Tim Thomas level goalie? What's your end game, what's your hope? Whatever it is, it's incredibly unlikely.

To watch our season go up in flames the way it did...to watch Dallas go down the way they did, or how about watching Philly struggle for so many years...there's a lesson to be had here. Don't cheap out on the goalie position, you can't win anything worthwhile without it.
