Well, what can I say, I am a big, serious guy but, honestly, I had a tear in my eye when this game ended. Yes, they didn't play very well. Yes, Anaheim was waaaay too dominant. Yes, there were too many goats and too many stupid plays in this series. But I still really hoped that the Flames can win at least one game to avoid the embarrassment of a sweep.
I'm too disappointed right now to make a reasoned judgement. But I do hope the owners can lure Darryl back to Calgary for the next season, although the chances of that happening are pretty much next to zero. This team needs a star coach... I do hope Treliving can get us a solid right wing to play on the line with Johnny. And hopefully, our young goalies can step up to the plate.
It was an interesting season, that's for sure.
