I think that many people are tired of the current tandem's whiffing on pucks and letting softies in the net at key moments (Elliott last night, Johnson vs Oilers and down the stretch - Boston game comes to mind). People are craving a good save that keeps them in the game and this tired twosome ain't even close to cutting the concept of what resembles playoff hockey.
If it's one game and out why not give the kid a chance? There is really nothing to lose.
