The third goal shouldn't have counted but the Flames need to be mentally tougher not to let the game slip out of control. A break went against you so double down your intensity. They didn't change anything, they just played the exact same way and allowed Anaheim to tie it up. They started playing again near the end of the period when the game was already tied up. Sitting back on the lead is a way to make that lead disappear like an illusion.

Edit: Elliott has to play better, he needs to make the saves but the entire Flames team has been flat since Gibson was pulled, Bernier has had to make a handful of saves, none of them memorable. He comes into the game cold and isn't tested. There were no bodies crashing the net or getting in his way. Just poor all around from the team, but they are still young and this is a learning opportunity going forth.
