Yes, until that VCR dies or your tape gets damaged. If your VCR dies 10 years from now, it may be hard to find a replacement. If the tape gets damaged, you could lose some memory that cannot be replaced. Making a digital copy and keeping a cloud backup means you can watch it as many times as you want, and never have to worry about losing it.
