I have no idea how the NHL handles officials, and what - if any - reprimands are handed out for a poor performance, and what rewards are given for good performances. It may be that the NHL does this already, but we as fans are not privy to any of it? Maybe the NFL is just more open with their dealings? I honestly do not have any idea.
