The problem for me with the flames penalties so far is the meaninglessness of them.
Brodie's crosscheck is an absolutely worthless penalty and I think somewhat indicative of the misplaced effort by the flames.
The penalties the flames are taking so so soft and inconsequential. If you are going to crosscheck kesler, CROSSCHECK HIM!
If you look at the comparison between the kesler video and the Hamilton one, which play has a greater impact in what's going on in the ice at that moment? Why are the flames never on the positive end of these comparisons? Does the Calvert crosscheck impact the series less than Brodie's?
Now, I am not suggesting the flames go out and be hyper violent, the opposite in fact, bit if you ARE going to take a penality, TAKE IT.
Is there a Better player on the flames right now than Monahan? Honourable mention to Stone.
