London Drugs was offering a photo box option for $180. Basically up to 800 photos digitized- which is about 23¢ each.

For VHS to digital, years ago I bought a DVD recorder. Easy to use like a VCR. The one thing you can never get around is that it takes real time to transfer stuff.
