I've been hard on Brouwer but I thought he did exactly what he was suppose to do in game 2. He was physical, he was a net front presence on the power play and also won some important draws. He had some big hits too. Overall he's been a massive disappointment but I thought that might have been his best game as a flame.
Actually I thought the flames really had their big boy pants on all night. Thought they were really taking it to the ducks and if it wasn't for two weak goals, questionable officiating, and a lucky bounce, should have easily won that game.
The goats were Hamilton and Brodie. Hamilton was better but still poor overall. All season long he's shown that he can get too caught up in the offensive end and forget about his defensive responsibilities and that's what caused the penalty, he got in too deep after joining the attack and did not get back to the defensive zone in time, this happens all the time with Hamilton.
As for Brodie, just don't know what the hell he was thinking there. Seriously can the flames just take a number and get their personal vendettas during the regular season? I mean cross check Kesler in the face and take a 20 game suspension but do it in the regular season. Don't do it during the playoffs. ####, can't believe how immature some of the players are.
