I have noticed since Uber came on the scene that the reliability of interac machines in cabs has really improved. Think of Uber what you will, but that's a real bonus!

I don't have the link on my phone but there is a forum of current and former uber drivers. It's linked somewhere in this thread. One of the complaints is a lack of tipping and people assuming they don't have to do it..
And you don't have to tip in cab. It's ridiculous that you would tip in a cab but not tip in an uber for the same service.
