Never got this policy.
The morale boosting, "fun" vibe that comes from allowing jerseys on special occasions has to greatly outweigh any potential cost to the company.
Okay maybe if you're in outside sales it could be viewed as unprofessional (although I doubt anyone wouldn't buy something cause the sales guy wore the home team jersey on a playoff game day), but for wearing around the office? Stupid.
So long as you're not working in a funeral home, I don't understand the issue.
