The Flames last season weren't nearly as good, people here think that Kris Russell is a pile a hot garbage who can't play the position, Wideman is a curse and Bouma is expansion bait. No one talks about Hudler and I don't know if he is even in the league anymore. The Flames went from making the playoffs to getting the sixth overall pick.
The Oilers likely won't be in contention for the pacific next year but that is still for the future to decide.
