- The Islanders defeated Buffalo, 4-2. The win puts the Islanders 5 points back of the second wild card spot with 4 games remaining.
- The Blues defeated the Predators, 4-1. The loss keeps Nashville one point back of the Flames with only 3 games left.
There are five games currently underway:
- Pittsburgh leads Carolina, 3-2, in the third.
- Minnesota leads Colorado, 4-1, in the second.
- Tampa and Dallas are tied at 1 in the second.
- Washington leads Columbus, 3-0, in the second.
- San Jose and Vancouver are scoreless early in the first.
