But the Flames are not the only tenant of the building. Part of the argument for a new building is additional events and concerts. Flames don't need to foot the whole bill.
Correct me if I am wrong, but the economic benefit to the city of a new building is quite large. Even from having the Flames around. Restaurants and bars do well, pay more taxes. Hotels are busier etc etc.
