Yeah but it's not like my American citizenship was revoked when I became Canadian, which was implied in the post I responded to. Did THAT have something to do with Canadian parents? My understanding was it's the other way around (New US citizens had to give up previous, but US citizens in other countries are free to hold any citizenships the can under the law of the country they're in and a citizen of), but there are anecdotes refuting that as well. Not sure how often these laws change.
