So instead of forcing these people into the mines, where they are putting their health at risk and contributing to the destruction of the environment, how about putting them to work building the things that will help build on the sustainable energy path? How about using the facilities to manufacture salt water batteries? Then how about encouraging builders to incorporate this technology and solar cells into the designs of houses and making this a standard requirement for new home builds? That would provide jobs, clean up the environment, and take pressure off our aging grid infrastructure.

No, bad idea. That would require leadership and forward thinking. It would also require someone in Washington to stand up to lobbyists and the energy cartels. Can't have that. Especially fthe on thand "business President who is going to drain the swamp."
