I honestly don't think people are alarmed enough about Trump. I was one of them before the election, believing that the entrenched power brokers in Washington would manage to put a leash on his administration.
What has become desperately clear is that the US democractic institutions are even more broken than previously thought. Some of the damage being done right now may take decades to rectify if it can be saved at all.
The notion that there is a separate reality for conservatives needs to end quickly.
