I think the reason why the Oilers are playing Talbot again is that they need wins no matter what. Considering where this franchise has been over the last decade if they fail to make the playoffs, the pitch forks come out in full force.
In previous years this loser club was out of it by middle of November leaving nothing for the fans to cheer about other than their lack of "luck" while stockpiling an embarrassment of 1st overall picks.
