Also, Shinkaruk looks like a flop at this point. I don't know whether that's on him or on the joke of a development system that the Flames have or even a bit of both. Brad must have thought that Shinkaruk would have an NHL future, otherwise why trade for him? So in this trade, the Flames organization has (at least so far) got their scouting reports wrong on two players. Obviously, there's still a lot of time left in both guys' careers but this trade seem to have missed its mark.

Regardless, Treliving still needs to be re-signed. He learns from his mistakes and isn't too stubborn to fix them when he's given the opportunity. Hopefully he can move out Brouwer this summer, replace him with a legitimate top 6 option, and have the team much better prepared for the 1st game of next year.
Granlund is a full time NHLer on arguably the worst roster in the NHL.
