What I find particularly interesting from reading the decision (20 brutal minutes of my life that I will never get back) is that the NHL's own witness, Stephen Walkom, Sr. VP and Director of Officiating, disagreed with Bettman and stated rather adamantly that Wideman likely made a mistake and did not likely intend to injure Henderson.
I can't imagine Bettman being happy that his own Director of Officiating's evidence was used by the arbiter to support Wideman. I even find that kind of funny. Bettman the lawyer presented a witness that ultimately supported the other side.
