Draisaitl contract will be similar to Monahan so that is reasonable. His contract is up at the end of this year. Draisaitl has Eberle and Nugent-Hopkins to compare himself to.
If McDavid gets $11-12m/yr, the Oilers can't afford to pay 5 forwards $35-36m/yr. I see them trying to dump Eberle or RNH cause Lucic is going to cost them big for a salary dump.
I remember watching the draft lottery and seeing McDavid put on a brave face when the Oilers won. I can see him bolt to Toronto for big money. Endorsement deals in TO will be worth more then Edmonton as well.
