I think Elliott has a point about Crosby's goal. You can see his stick make contact with Elliott's glove in the crease as the puck is coming towards the net. If Crosby is on a breakaway and Giordano puts his stick to Crosby's glove and the puck doesn't go in, he's getting a penalty shot or the Pens are going to the power play.
Jamie McLennan says that he initially thought it should have been waved off but he sees the league's point in that Elliot never actually caught the puck and it went in off Crosby's body.
I guess that I agree it was a grey area kind of call, but I am with Elliott in that I no longer know what is and isn't goalie interference. I thought it was interfering with the goalie in the goal crease while they are trying to make a save. The Flames have got to be up there when it comes to negative results on their coaches' challenges (not claiming conspiracy, but they've had a tough time with reviews).
