I loved it there, but that was almost 30 years ago. London has grown a lot since then - close to 500K now?
I spent 3 years at Western, and missed the humid summers when I went back to Calgary in the summer. I think it is quiet in the summer when all the UWO students are gone?
Nice size city, and midway between Toronto and Detroit. Lots of entertainment possibilities - sports, concerts etc.
I think the nice communities were west and north of UWO. East London is more blue collar.
Good place to raise a family I think. Not as busy and expensive as Toronto, but still close enough to the big cities when you need that.
It was an insurance hub when I was there. Some wealthy old money families there, and fairly conservative.
