The conversations might be awkward, but they shouldn't be shameful. There are only so many protected spots. A guy might be left unprotected due to salary, age, depth at that position, whatever. It is all business.
I think for the fans, it would be great to have the list. Mock drafts, trade speculation and all of that is fun.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.
