I think it is also important to remember that media member close to the team doesn't mean media member is part of the team.

These guys are prone to bias, exaggeration, hyperbole and mistakes just like the rest of us. While they may be closer to the team than your average fan or CPer, it doesn't make them infallible.

I'd take this rumour with a grain of salt, just like all rumours.
