I agree with photo radar when it is at a fixed installation with signage at locations deemed to be a high risk of accidents. This will train drivers to slow down at these dangerous spots. The photo radar vans set up at speed traps are nothing more than fundraising however.

Also, if you think photo radar is bad in Alberta, come to Australia they love it here. The car owner even gets demerit points if caught speeding and if someone else was driving your car you have to rat them out.
