It is funny how 65 games has turned a fanbase from pathetic self deprecating losers after a decade of sucking to chest bumping arrogant punks. I guess they have waited so long to be relevant in March they cannot contain themselves.
The Flames hot streak is really annoying them though and you can tell. I just hope if the Flames pass them in the standings and if we meet in the playoffs we are victorious.
As a side note I am not betting that Spector will write a retraction article if the Flames top the Oilers in the standings. He wrote in January how Edmonton has blown past Calgary in the rebuild and I am sure he was as gitty as a school girl when he posted it

The article that Vinny is referencing...

and here's some of the juicier nuggets:
The Oilers moved nine points ahead of the Flames in the standings and will not be caught by their rivals this season. In the bigger picture, Edmonton is where Calgary was supposed to be by now, well on their way to being a top-10 National Hockey League team with an long and bright future.
and
Calgary’s a wild card team at best now, while the Oilers are well in contention for the Pacific Division lead.
It’s a big change in Alberta, and it won’t be changing back soon.
