I would think LV takes Brouwer if he is available. He is not THATexpensive, especially for a team that will be more concerned with the floor than the ceiling for the term of his contract... plus he helps to hit the draft minimum. He is the sort of solid veteran that plays in the top 6 (maybe even top 3) of an expansion team - heck, he would probably have a career year with all the opportunity he will get (25-25 would not be out of the question there). You can slap the "C" on him. That's one (most likely) option. The other one, as someone else brought up, is you take him, retain 40-50%, and flip him for as much as perhaps a 1st rounder from a contender. If you are a perpetual challenger in need of a "heavy" winger, Brouwer at $2.5M or so is great. Say, Montreal...
