But what if Calgary, LA, and St. Louis end the year tied in points, and all have the same number of ROWs, and have earned the exact same amount of points in games between each other? You're going to look pretty silly if this happens and the Flames haven't focused on their goal differential.
If it's these 3 teams tied, Calgary would have 2 wins thrown out because of the odd number of games played rule. If Calgary beats St. Louis in regulation, and LA bears St. Louis in regulation, and Calgary wins 2/3 of the remaining games against LA, with all three ending in regulation, then they are tied per rule 3, assuming ROWs are the same. If that run on sentence happens, goal differential is used!
