Corey Pronman from ESPN.com:
Quote:
Calgary acquires Curtis Lazar. Lazar was considered one of the games top prospects under three years ago. He has yet to shown he can excel at the pro level and hit a wall in his age 21 season. On a talent level he's a very good skater with decent puck skills and shooting ability. He's a high character player who hustles every shift. The questions for him now is whether he has the creativity and overall hockey IQ to play well at an NHL pace. I can understand being a skeptic given his dismal season and underwhelming pro career to date but I wouldn't give up on a player like Lazar too quickly. It's entirely reasonable in my opinion that he could carve out a career as a useful third line forward.
