I've watched a few Avs games including the ones against Calgary and in my opinion he's very slow, always a step behind the play, reaction time seems to be gone, and nothing screams to me that a new team would snap him out of it. Father time has caught up, and he's not going to let go of Iggy. Should have retired instead of signing with the Avs if he wasn't going to go to a contender. Tarnished his legacy for no chance at the Stanley Cup in my opinion.

Like he's really going to turn down $16M over 3 years to "preserve his legacy". And lest we forget, the Avs were coming off a great season when Iginla signed, and were trending up to being a great young team for the foreseeable future. At the time, many believed he had as good a chance on that team as any to win.
