The issue is not losing MAF in the expansion draft. In fact the Pens would probably be happy if that would happen.

If the Pens don't trade MAF and he won't waive for the expansion draft, then the Pens only option to keep Murray is to buyout MAF before the expansion draft and take ~$2 million cap hit for the next 4 years (which is pretty undesirable for a Stanley Cup contender).
Pittsburgh is in a vulnerable position with regards to moving MAF. The argument that they need to give up assets to move Fleury is a reasonable one.

This is so interesting of a situation. I see there being very little chance of moving MAF as he also wont waive his no move to go to a bottom feeder team.
The penguins have very few options at this point. Probably only a couple teams Flury waives to go to, but do those teams need/or want him.
Flames could be on his list maybe. If so you know Tre will get something good out of them!
