Perez is the guy I was kinda advocating (just on this forum) for Clinton's running mate. I think he's a good choice (though Ellison would have been fine too). Democrats need to both keep the current fervour going and capitalize on the anti-Trump sentiments (which should be easy), but also try and make inroads again regarding working class, blue-collar moderates, particularly in the rust-belt. I think Perez has the connections and background to make that happen. Last year he was seen as the most liberal, non-establishment, Sanders-friendly VP candidate of anyone on Clinton's shortlist, so it's a little odd how there was an effort to paint him as establishment. I think he nicely straddles the line between establishment and progressive.
