Calgary other than Gaudreau is as fiesty and nasty as they come. Look for them to take runs at everybody since the refs are turning a blind eye to intimidation which must make Brian Burke very happy.

If they keep up the good work from the past couple of weeks, and refs will blow the whistle when needed, the [cats] should win this

We need to get the two points to keep pace. Leads and Isles play tomorrow and if we lose and they both win we are 4 points back with 22 games left.

Starting now in the next 5 games we will find out if the recent success was just an artificial bump of energy due to getting players back and scheduling inirmalities or if it was the real deal.. You expect us to score the next goal but you also expect Flames to score again right after that on a defensive breakdown with everyone standing pat

lead boots ekblad running down to the flames goal line with nothing but open ice behind him no one covering for him and he takes a slapshot in traffic where a bad bounce and it’s a breakaway, mathenson took two cruises behind the flames goal the shift before that, and again just one guy back, it’s absolutely maddening

The difference was goaltending tonight. Neither team was good defensively. We had plenty of prime scoring chances but their goalie was much better than ours.

Overpassing in offensive zone hurt too.

Calgary with another 2 quick goals and up 2-1. I have a feeling Hanzal could wind up a Flame because of Treliving's past connections to the Coyotes. If they get him, they'll likely overtake either the Oilers or Ducks in the division. They're getting hot at the right time and Elliott can suddenly stop pucks again (even though Johnson is in net tonight).
