I agree he had a great PK in the final minute, I just didn't like his game the rest of the night even before he got cut.
I'm a big Bennett fan and think he has a tonne of potential and want to see him succeed and wish he'd get to show his game more on the wing as I think Center is hard to play the style he wants to play.
And I honestly don't mind him not getting points, it's his play away from the puck that I haven't liked. He doesn't seem to be skating very hard on the back check and is usually the last guy back and as a center that's a problem. It doesn't help when he has to play with someone as slow as Versteeg but I hope we can get another good defensive center and allow Bennett to flourish as a winger for now.
He's still very young and has a lot of time to develop as a center.
And I also have no doubt he will be great in the playoffs if we make it. He definitely has passion and it seems that's being a little restrained this season because of the coach.
