The Flames' website shows him with #26, which would be a kick in the nuts to Wotherspoon to just give away his number like that (although, they did that to Vey after the preseason when Versteeg was signed).
Of course, it could just be a remnant of the trade and his number on the website is just the same as what he wore in Arizona until his new number is confirmed.
He wore #28 with the Hitmen, and that number is currently unassigned on the Flames (he might have to fight Regehr for it, though).
