Well... They do, but for some reason they just decide not to have Hamilton there. I don't understand it. He has a big shot and would be perfect on the first unit. I hate versteeg in that position. I'm going to go crazy if I have to continue watching him take his stupid slap shot pp after pp. Hate the stupid pass back Brodie does all the time too. Majority of the time it goes to no one and and seems to slow everything down. Just useless. I could put up with it while the PP was scoring, but teams have clearly made adjustments and it's not working anymore. Time for them to change things up again. I'd like to see Hamilton on the point and Johnny moved to the other wing to start with.
Anyways thoughts about the game. Could be a big point, but really sucks they couldn't get the two. Better team, but miller just seems to have our number this year. Tough ot for Frolik. Hated his shot that he took and then just couldn't keep up with tanev on the back check. Thought that was easily Brouwer's best game in awhile. Thought that line with Bennett and Ferland looked good. Elliott responded well after the bad goal. Don't know what gulutzans plan is on Tuesday, but I stick with Elliott. He's playing well and gives the flames a better chance to win right now.
Thought Bartkowski looked good in his limited minutes. Wideman even looked decent in his reduced role minus that one shift. Johnny clearly struggling, but even still was able to setup a number of chances. If a couple of them find a stick or find a way in the net we aren't ragging on him. Just been that kind of season for him. Still hopeful he'll come up huge and get out of the rut he's in.
