That stretch is also his first real chance in the NHL but I agree with your point as I must have missed that. I feel like he isn't any worse than Jokipakka and deserves a better fate. He is cheap so why not prepare him to take over a top 6 spot next year rather than Jokipakka who will most likely not be back next year.
