I'll never forget his first PPG season with the Flames. Flames had 4 forwards with over 77 points, the only team in the league with 4 players with those totals. He flanked Iginla on what IMO Iggy's best season. Had such a wicked shot, even though he rarely used it.

A shame he butted heads with Keenan when he did. Tanguay got ripped pretty hard around here for his lower totals, but Keenan was trying to fit a square peg into a circle. Even Tanguay's return a couple years later was met with mockery, and yet all he did was become the best FA signing of the summer and put up almost 70 pts.

I would have gladly kept him over stupid David Jones when he was traded. But I understand the need to change the team culture. But looking back, Tangs did way more good then bad and his offensive skill was dearly missed. Best of luck to him in his retirement.
