Wasn't Drouin suffering under the same coach? I'm not putting much stock into the negative season Lazar has had under Boucher. It's also percieved to be a very shallow draft year. So outside of any complications of an expiring ELC in an expansion draft year, a 2nd round pick is a fairly safe bet.
Edit: and I'm not saying Lazar is anywhere as good as Drouin either, but that a player with greater skill was equally disgruntled under the same coach in the same system. Drouin is just fine now that he's out from under the boot of Boucher.
