Trump is the opposite. He uses negative imagery and narratives to get the media to dedicate air time and webspace to detailing these constant negative stories that distract from his ACTIONS that are not palpable to Americans getting all worked up over his little "terrible" transgressions.
Both use the media to 'pull the wool over the eyes' of the media consuming public to at least partially hide (or hide in the noise) their bad actions.
