This was a purely political move by the Republicans, one that Rubio is attempting to defend with this chicken#### speech. Where was the decorum when the last President was office?

What did Rubio think when Senator Mitch McConnell stated his job was to make President Obama a one term President? Or how about when David Purdue (R-GA) suggested they should pray for Obama and that his days be few?

In the other chamber what about Joe Wilson (R-SC) calling Obama a liar? How about when James Sensenbrenner (R-WI) joked about Michelle Obama's fat ass? How about when Doug Lamborn (R-CO) called President Obama a tar baby?

Yeah, that's what I like about Republicans, and conservatives in general. They cry long and hard when you hit them in the face with the same behaviors they've been displaying for years. They talk about liberals being special snowflakes, but they should look in the mirror. I've never seen a bigger bunch of double-standard embracing, quick-to-cry, whining, momma's boys in my life. Screw the rules and screw etiquette. These guys started the fight with several rabbit punches, continued to swing away while the referee held the other fighter back, and are now crying when the Dems hit back for the first time in a very long time. You know you have someone on the run when they start crying about decorum and abiding by the rules, when they themselves have been doing the same crap for years.
While I appreciate your list of examples, not one of those was said on the senate floor. Only one of those people are or were even in the US senate, and he made those remarks, not on the senate floor, but in an interview. Perhaps that decorum was there during the last president's term after all? Rubio clearly made a distinction between what's happening outside the senate, and inside the senate. So while your remarks might be valid if he was speaking primarily about the discourse outside the senate, he's not. Your rant is irrelevant to what he said and attacks a straw man as far as you are responding to what he said. You do a good job of making his point for him though regarding people ability to discuss politics in a reasonable manner outside the senate. It's as if you never listened to what he said..
