Meh..If management felt that Jankowski was really ready, they would find a way to make it work. There's a lot of room in our forward group for an NHL ready prospect. If Jankowski was ready, we would move Bennett to the wing for a trial and have Jankowski/Backlund as our #2/3 centres.
I'm totally fine with Jankowski being developed longer. If we can turn him into a big, 2 way, top six centre that is difficult to deal with that's exactly what we need. If you bring him up too early, you risk him becoming a Joe Colborne type of player. Jankowski is better off learning leadership skills in Stockton than getting bottom six minutes in Calgary.
