1. Guy Lafleur (I was a kid, but no player then or since has given me goosebumps like that guy. And he was pure class. I remember a young boy got stabbed in Calgary. He was wearing his Habs Lafleur shirt when it happened. Thankfully he survived. Lafleur or the Habs arranged for the kid to go to Montreal to watch a game. Before it, Lafleur promised the boy a goal. When interviewed after the game, Lafleur said he felt nervous about that promise. I think he scored two.
Lafleur is my hockey hero.
2. Iggy. What more can be said about him? The face of the Flames and he dragged us out of some very very dark times. For too long, he was the only reason to watch the Flames, especially if you were an opposing fan and interested in seeing more than two points. I am so sorry he hasn't won the Cup. If there were to be an all star team of those that never won the cup in their career, he for me would be the greatest and my choice as Captain.
3. Kent Nilsson - our first superstar. He was the magic man and the excitement he created when he was 'on' was incredible. I remember being really upset after seeing a picture of him on the front page of the Sun smiling from a hospital bed because he would be out for months.
