For crying out loud. Most people should just pack away their religious beliefs or dis-beliefs and focus on reading comprehension.
For those who think challenging the religious faith of these kids is rude or somehow unwarranted, they flat out asked for it:

You cannot advocate a hope to deepen faith in others and be offended if people respond with reasons why they do not share your faith.
For those losing their minds that these people should be thanking first-responders instead of God go back and re-read (it's down below the picture of them posing in front of a firetruck when they went to meet said first-responders...I mean to be fair, the story doesn't specifically say they thanked the firefighters at that visit so I guess not to offend any of the logic and scientific evidence crowd I must concede I cannot PROVE that they didn't berate them for trying to interfere with God's plan):

For those oh so worried that reference to a mythical Santa (or whatever derogatory term for what another sees as God you prefer) will make others incapable of being responsible for their own actions on earth:

Nothing about this article suggests these kids are anything but intelligent good people who happen to believe that their soul continues on after death and also know real people helped them and were seriously affected by their bad choices.
You actually have to really try hard to make controversy out of this article. So, slow clap for CP?
