Not Calgary related but Swissair (flight LX40) Zurich-Los Angeles experienced an engine failure last week and they diverted to Iqualiut. They sent up an A330 from JFK for the passengers and flew in a new engine on an Antanov 124 and are in the process of changing it out now.
