How they plan on proving that a team was circumventing the expansion draft and that there just wasn't some kind of "break" in the negotiations isn't clear and maybe damn well impossible to prove, but the league is looking out for those type of deals. |
Hot air. The only way they can prove it is if the player, team or agent admit to it. Granted, a disgruntled/stupid employee of agent/team could blab, but outside of an actual admission/leak, it's an idle threat.
