I wonder if Alzner is a pipe dream? I mean, is there a better Dman available as a UFA? (arguably shattenkirk but completely different type of player)

Alzner is going to be 29, on pace for a career year and going to want to get paid and perhaps his last contract.

And keep in mind it's silly season so he is gonna get PAID!

I can't see the Flames bringing him on without making some tough choices.
