The Coyotes will also have the jump on any contender with the quality of what they can offer when it comes to picks. That also means the Coyotes might want to think long and hard about moving those picks, but the Coyotes shouldn't have to offer as "many" picks to get it done, because the picks they will be offering will have more appeal than what a contender offers.
If I was the Avs, I'd be more motivated to get the higher pick from the Yotes, then a larger volume of mediocre picks from a contender.
