Would you argue that this our landlord's responsibility or ours? We've lived there for 7 years, so we're thinking that the wear and tear is likely on us.

With my rental, this stuff is taken care of by myself (the landlord.) I wouldn't want the tenant messing around with plumbing stuff that he/she might not know anything about. At point I did have a tenant that was a plumber and she mentioned that the bath tub faucet handle was leaking and that she could take care of it for cheap. I let her do it because I trusted her.
